Rock Wall stabilization

Today I finally got a chance to take some pics of the exposed base of the Palisades along the Hudson River in NJ. As luck would have it they are installing the safety screen and bolts on the cliff face. They've been at it for a month and it's figured they'll there for another month since drilling the 20' deep holes is taking longer than anticipated. My initial interest was the geology of the site but this was cool too.

Ya, I've seen that. Nice rock. Some fast track building around that area, ey? 35 years we used to drive down there to dump the truck for free. The entire area was a field. How the finger?

Yeah, my wife tells me what it was like when she was growing up in Union City. Huge change, classic urban renewal.

The finger is looking good!
