ring splice

it's a locked brummel and an in and out straight bury with whipping.

You can with ease do a locked on one side, and a reweave locked brummel on the other, just needs tape and care - the wife could do it because its like hair braiding.

In and out meaning a brummel without the lock and then bury it? Like in the link Banjo posted?

Btw, I am using 3/8th tenex.

Yep, same principle, just be certain to study different lock stitches and choose your best option<<< that is most important.

Attached is one I've been using and made from Tenex Tec.
The top splice is a locking Brummel, with approx 1 1/2 fid length bury. The bottom is a Red Book Brummel, with the bury long enough to do the crossover (more than 2 fids).
Although you can't see the stitching, it's there. Next post.

Red book brummel? That's the one. Got my sharp scissors tonight and hope to finish the buries later. Thanks guys.

And ya for further reading: I am using it as a choker on a ring on ring that I will use for an anchor. I have been climbing on a hybrid system that employs my omni block as the false crotch. So after I pull up the anchoring rope I have 75' of rope to make an anchor out of. I've been doing trunk raps but as you all know this is not the best method. So I put a big ring on the end of some three strand and will prusik loop this small ring to it, choke it by putting a bend in the anchor rope and doing some butterflies and some biner magic and it will become much easier to set up and take down. Pics should be coming. Thanks again.

I would take Norm's advice/guidance hands down, no question. I am unsure where you would get better.

It seemed quite clear from all as to what splice I was looking for. Thanks, Tony

So here it is. Seems pretty tight. I think it's good to go.

If you can splice a continuous loop just cow hitch the ring then prusik the whole unit then its just 1 splice
