I used a plate for a slack tender on a lanyard for a while. This is the way I had two lanyards on one d-ring. I moved beyond this setup.

After one hour of climbing I changed the setup to this, the rest of the day I couldn't get the smile off my face.

Don't look at the knot under the rigging plate, after 20 years it's hard to toss it overboard.

The only draw back I can see is setting it up midline

Why do you want to set it up midline Mangoes.

In the ropebag on the other end of the line is another eye spliced and I've put a prussic on there already.

I didn't climb the gadget today. Today and tomorrow we are following a first aid/arial rescue training, so when it gets out of the bag tomorrow afternoon it'll probably be the talk for the rest of the day.

It seems like a small figure eight could be rigged in a similar fashion.
