only if you are either A. really funny or B. put it to some groovy tunes.
Otherwise, no, you can not be in your video

Yep, no way he gets in on his looks.

Thanks, Chip. Actually, I'm a method actor. If I get the part of using Cory's RR on video, I will "be" the climber who actually uses Cory's RR to the exclusion of all else.

Using a crane? Not without my RR.

Loading logs? Not without m RR.

Watching Trailer Park Boys? Not without my RR.

I really want this part.

Just tried this out in the house here and it worked fairly well. After you pull the spliced eye through, it all slides down the rope on the pulley right back to you. Just pull your spliced eye back and you'd be ready to go.

One mod I could see was splicing up an adjustable sling of some sort to use to adjust it to different sized limbs. Maybe a whoopie sling of some sort??

Don't over complicate it, Ranger.

Regarding Chris' part in my upcoming video production... Let's just say I'm auditioning some candidates. Off the record, its been my experience that Chris doesn't take direction very well. I need someone with a weak mind. Any suggestions?

I was going to mention that, but then I remembered his secret "acting" potion; Beer! Get enough in him, and he'll pretty much do whatever you tell him to. You just have to act like you are trying to help him get home, like, "before we go back, can I get you to just quickly set up that retrievable redirect again? I forgot how it goes..." and Bam! Video made.

Have you considered brother "Kyle". He'd be the man in my opinion. Talk about acting potion, beer comes to mind for Klye as well.

Kyle would be an interesting choice for the part.

The man himself...

I guess I helped derail my own thread... Snap!

But can you retrieve my redirect? Jeff made it for me and I wont share what it looks like untill 4/17/10. You bring your innovative techniques, your pulleys, and your French style prusik knots. I'll see you there.

I think the "kiwi trick" refers to this photo from the first post which was found on the Treeworld site out of Australia. But that would make it the aussie trick right?

I called it the "kiwi" trick, because it was a kiwi I learned it from. The pic is of an aussie. I don't know who figured it out, but who cares? Its brilliant.
