Retrievable redirect

Here's a peek. Think about it and I'll show the whole thing later.

Its not as good as the Kiwi Trickery.

Okay. First pic from the mighty Dogwood in my neighboor's yard.

A = the Primary TIP.

B = the desired redirect.

Climber is standing in the crotch pointed out and has throw their tail rope through B.

Next climber installs prussic with a small ring/shackle and the mysterious steel snap! This goes on the bitter end of the rope.

At this point the tail rope has been turned into a continuous loop (i.e. a sling). Using a dual sheave pulley and a carabiner, the climber connects the primary portion of the climbing system to the "sling".

Using the bitter end (note, in the last pic the snap is around the tail rope) of the rope the climber fair leads the redirect into the desired position.

To retrieve, pull the tail, failing the slip knots, and the pulley slides down the line, etc.

It eats up twice as much rope and there are a couple other reasons why I prefer the Kiwi trick.

only if you are either A. really funny or B. put it to some groovy tunes.
Otherwise, no, you can not be in your video
