I really hope we can make all that come true.

We also need a break from the whole rep/dem political system... I think that any party that drags our nation down like the GOP has should not be allowed to run for at least two terms.

And the individuals that have benefited the most from their affiliations should surrender their personal assets and, possibly be imprisoned for their participation.
 
Today as part of the Congressional debate on the "total" bailout and purchase of bad debts, which would be 1.8 Trillion dollars thus far, is the idea of oversight onto the control of those debts and executive severence packages.

The White House and Chairman Paulson of the Treasury Dept., are resisting those ideas. This whole welfare mess costing a reported $15,000 per American household (without accruing interests) conntinues to become more bizarre.

Then we have the very last of the only five investment banks in America that have tanked...Goldmann Sacks, rolling over and dying today, allso asking to be included on the "risk takers without risk" federal taxpayer bailout of stupid and greedy and what was illegal until Bush got into office...free market businesses.

If Communism was so "great", why did it die? If Capitalism was so great, why did it die?

I bet Bin Laden's laughing his arse off.

A whole new system is needed or as it stands...no system at all. Just back to the old ways: clubbing a girl and dragging her back to your cave?

You're now familiar with his last minute proposal, right?

Do you know that's he's just now left as CEO of Goldman Sachs? And his severance package is 11.7 million?

Did you know that this morning, before sunrise on Wall Street, Goldman/Sach's is also asking to be part of the bad-debt bailout? They're tanked...zero zippity zap.

And the package Paulsen's asking Congress today for (he insistes upon expediency) calls for total oversight on the bailout to be presented to him and his Dept. with no oversight or review openess for any other individual whether it be Justice, Congress, Executive, or the public?

Guess who appointed him?

Guess who opposed the process?

Guess why he was instated without hearings?

Get off your rightwing apologist grandstand, they (and all who voted for them) have destroyed the America some of us died to protect and defend.

The proposal to make people who grossy profited off the last eight years of unchecked greed and sour investments is sound and long overdue. They're asking for our money now, literal welfare but for stupidity, not for disadvantaged social unfortunate need.

It's time to draw lines and make certain this mentality doesn't ever again effect this nation and it's hardworking people. Reaganomics triggered what's akin to an atomic war against us. Terrorists couldn't have hoped for something better.

This is the right's cause, period. Now they ask for help and want it in cash, without exposing ANY of the problems or seedy connections, and they are going to take it from us, or at least try. That's what's not going to happen, not on my watch.

If you're going to be a die hard conservative you should at least think for yourself.

My son has 26 other kids in his class. Is that the democrats fault too?

This summer I took him to the National park nearby, I hadn't been there in years, It was a shadow of it's former self. Is that the democrats fault too?

I'm sure it would be if it were a right wing talking point.
 
Imagine how - if Obama's campaign manager still received lobbying payments from Goldman Sachs - the right's blame machinery would frame this debacle. Or if Clinton appointed the just now retiring CEO of Goldman Sachs to chair the U.S. Treasury Department...while he's actively functioning in both roles.

Dam right there's blame being throwed, expecially when the Party of devisiveness screaming for "less government regulation" and "the UN is useless" is now insisting we all roll-up our sleeves and work together.

It's not funny that until last week, the candidate of "self reliance" told us all that "our economy is in good shape" then after two more of his constituant institutions fail..."I meant 'our workers' are in good shape.

Just imagine a medium-sized local tree business run by these crooks, let alone our government.

It's been pretty hilarious so far. The press in Italy is saying they overheard Bush after his UN speech yesterday whispering to Sarah something about his praying for a terrorist attack.

It's still the mantra of the GOP to reduce regulation and oversight. It's especially McCain's, and his staff of current and past employess from the same companies that just presented this 9/11-sized bail-out from all of us.

He one and a half weeks ago, told America "our economy is fundamentally strong". Now he states it's "in a crisis".

This is presidential material?

It's one of the few times we can literally call it accurately "Black and white".

Now your man has quit campaigning. Why?

If he's president, there's going to be a lot more pressure on him than running around in his "straight talk express". I believe he caved yesterday.
