It's funny that high rigger was probably taking a whiz when they were filming that. It was customary for them to do that after they topped the spar.. Hard as f*ck.
 
The scene with the guy roped in and topping that huge tree with an axe has always been of my absolute faves of all time.
I showed it to my dad. Then I had tio show it to his friends and everyone else who stopped by. Just 2 years after WW2. Probably nothing seemed too daunting to survivors.
Hard as f*ck is right.
