Redirects

Has anyone tried the retrievable one from tree stuff. I keep looking at it but yet to pull the trigger. Currently I just use a loop runner and a biner and choke it off on the stem and go with. Seems so barbaric after seeing the works of art you guys have and use.

I have one, it hasn't become a regular on my saddle. It does not suit my style of climbing, and I've gotten it stuck a couple times. I think there are better homemade options personally.

Mark I do somewhere I'll try and find it. It's a compact version of the one in Victoria tree industry organisation guide to re directs. Setup like a rope guide splice sidethrough first revolver, running side through the other attach string line to redirect for inline retrieved and tail of rope on the end of it or if not required to be removed while in tree just let rope guide jam on revolver and it easily comes out of the tree.

i've just recently go back into a little climbing but i too like the re-de mentioned above.

I had the bits left over from some early rope guides to put one together with little effort, any redirect i created using revolvers kept sliding around and seemed to add unnecessary friction. this one stays put.

This is it slightly modified for better retrieval never had a problem with removing it either mid climb or at the end.

This is it setup but didn't need the strong on it as it was the last area of my climb. Removed with rope guide getting stuck on revolver.
