Is the racesaws forum closed down? I go to the site and it wont let me read the threads or join. I want to buildup my 046. I just got my 54mm big bore and already opened up the muffler. I cant find any detailed info on how much to open up the exhaust port and intake port. I see some people are saying there saw is "Milled" and ported. Are these people milling the base to increase compression? if so how much? I want to end up with a quick worksaw nothing to crazy. I have done lots of research on lots of different projects in my life and it seems like there is no good detailed info on modding chainsaws. any info would help. thanks
Oh by the way my plan so far is to open up the exhaust port 3mm on each side then polish it. the intake on my new BB is really sloppy so i am going to straighten it out and clean up the imperfections.
Any of this sounds right? nothing like going in blind...lol
