Question On Dual Tie Ins???

You guys using a bridge saddle setup........when you use 2 climbing ropes do you run your 'biners into one ring or do you have 2 rings? What are the advatages of either setup?

I have the Unicender directly on my bridge along with a stainless steel ring, rated at 8k# for second attachments.

When I was climbing DdRT I had a captive eye biner on my bridge for my primary attachment and a ring for #2.

Having two attachments keeps things sorted and seperated. Too many pieces togther can lead to some weird loading and a real mess.

I have one ring one my bridge. When using a dual tie in I've found myself lately just clipping the second set up with carabiner straight on to my rope bridge.

Both tie in's on the top of a big swivel, one bridge connection below. Gives ultimate mobility under your lines, but also requires cat-like stability and agility,.

I agree, having everything on one attachment ring (or swivel) gives you the most mobility. Two points on your bridge pulling from different directions will greatly reduce your ability to slide around on the rope bridge. Using a hitch climber or a big ring like the one on the TM rope bridge will help a lot with not having a clutter of carabiners
