You know, after I started this thread awhile back I have noticed that every place these balls are located on the lines there seemes to be something to do with a helicopter. We have a state trooper station about a mile from my house and they have a helicopter pad and at the hospital there is a pad with the same balls on the lines. Also, the ones I have noticed over the interstates are just low enough for helicopters. So, without really knowing any better. I believe they have to do mostly with helicopters.
