Pushing the limits of a rigSAVER

I have been using a homemade rigSAVER for over a year now. It started with 3 strand rope, a pensafe ring and a Pinto RIG in the image of OldFarts uSAVER.

I stepped it up to 9/16s double braid, 1/2" forged steel ring, and a 28/20-XRR, keeping the pinto RIG with added 10mm TVP. I have really put this thing to the test and thought I would share a few clips I snatched the other day.

There are infinitely better suited rigging options for the loads pictured. Using a full sized arborist block and a bull line would definitely be a better idea. This was too much for it, it caught it fine and came out unharmed but the prusik bit pretty hard and took me a few minutes to work it free. Normally I dont block quite this large of wood down on it but figured what the heck, it took the rest of tree down who am I to take a pitcher out in the 9th? :)

This is not a testament to the best way of doing things.

If you dont go to big, you will be fine....but thats hard to do at times, I say I will go out on a limb and take a third of the branch, but when i get up there I just want to go "BIG" take half or all...lol

Bonner, i have been using that omni block 1.5 on loopie 1/2" with samson 1/2" stable braid and its a dream, light on saddle, easy to install and mid line attach, so great for small stuff...but Ive pushed it hard....the "cycles to failure" is something I have to consider if go big.....mabey time to get block sent up....
