Thanks to Roger Barnett, I was introduced to Ben who works for Dan Trawl who supplies gear to the marine industry.

I got a new 200' 9/16", 19,000 lb tensile Puget Sound D/S Composite line for the GRCS at a great price that I don't think anyone can beat.

The D/S Composite is a double braided rope with the inner core made of Spectra and the outer sleeve of polyester. It has very low elongation (great for lifting with the GRCS), high strength and the feel and handling of polyester double braid.

Ben has his website up and says to feel free to give him a call. Here's the link.

Cool, Chris.

Their regular double braid is every bit as good as Samson....and the same great price.

Don't be worried if you find what you think are fat spots in the rope. After putting a lot of tension on it, it gets rather tight, till it is handled. Spots that happen to get flexed afterwares will feel bumpy. No problems. Wore my first one out.....
