This should be worth while for those who are available at the advertised time.

Mark your calendar:Free Lunch-Time Webinar from TREE Fund on May 11! 1 CEU

International Society of Arboriculture·Wednesday, April 27, 2016
Join us for “An Approach to Pruning You Won’t Forget,” a free TREE Fund webinar featuring Dr. Ed Gilman (University of Florida). Dr. Gilman guarantees that once you begin pruning trees using the strategies learned in this webinar, you will not revert to the old way. He will show you practical strategies to increase long-term survival – starting at planting. Afterwards, you will be able to step outside and immediately begin to prune in a more sustainable manner.
  • May 11, 2016 at 12:00 pm (Mountain)
  • No pre-registration required. Log in at treefund.org on May 11.

No member requirements.
I just contacted TreeFund, since I was having difficulties. Their computer system had some problems this a.m.
In several mins, they will setup, a link to get onto the webinar directly from www.treefund.org.
I'll try in ~ 10 min.

Presentation will be ~ 1 hr.
You can type in questions from computer, call in, etc.

To enter Webinar:

1. Click on “An Approach to Pruning You Won’t Forget,”; in the original post.

(Do Not click on treefund.org in the original post; this sends you to FaceBook.) ???

2. Then in the Tree Fund site click again on: Log in at "TreeFund.org".

3. Then click on "Join the Webinar", under Gilman's picture. (pictures rotate thru a sequence)

4. Click on "Here" (How to Enter the webinar)

5. This leads to the registration form. Fill it out.

6. You will get an e-mail w/ a link into the webinar on May 11, 2016

I don't know what you do, on May 11, just before it starts.

Great information! Well worth the time. I do d it extremely difficult to change my methods after years of doing it the way I was taught.

I won't be able to make it on the date/time set... Is there any way to view the webinar after the time slot? I don't need the CEU's, but would love to get the education...

Please someone when it comes up please post the link here. I too had planned to make it but the dog got sick and to the vet we went. Right at 1200 to boot:(

Lots of good info, even though the approach is limited by lack of familiarity with work in Europe and elsewhere.

Gilman made some good observations. "When we lack mechanical information, we need to follow biological information." Cuts over 4 inches will be in heartwood and leave the tree open to decay." etc.

Thanks Guy!

Yes I agree, that was a good comment he made

I see you plugging the ZTV at every opportunity. Can you post a link of a good place to order it?

The comment exactly Echoes the German standard. That kind of stuff is not mentioned in the US standard. It's a shame the A300 committee does not widen their scope of inquiry to look across the Atlantic. Or… Pacific
