hey, well, i started working on this video about 3 or 4 months ago.

Xman's Promo video

No free time in my life, so, if I want to do something like this, I use my sleep time to do it. Working on it usually on weekend late nights.

anyway, i got it done, well done enough, soon as i got it on youtube i noticed a small typing mistake; i will leave it for now.

It's kinda a promo video of videos to come. A lot of my stuff is still in tape form, so it takes a long time to convert, so I just picked a few jobs to show clips from.

I have about 10 or 12 more jobs that i wanted to show a quick clip from, but it was taking too long and the media pool was getting too big.

someone on the buzz the other day mentioned they'd like to see that sycamore job we did when i mentioned i have video, so that little bit of motivation pushed me to finish this promo video.

I'm hoping people will like it and i will stay motivated to follow with more videos.

I tried to enter clips that had a little excitement, movement and a tiny bit of drama. I didn't pick the smoothest crane picks for it, nor the most movement ones. On the full job version vids, you'll see them though.

the following videos; if i do them, will be individual jobs and show different parts of the same job. but i will try my best to keep them fast moving, as i hate watching slow videos myself.

i hope all this makes sense, as it is 5:30am and I've been at it all night...

Very good compilation Dave, some interesting jobs. I would like to see more of the dead beech footage, if you get time that is. Editing in sleep time, yep, tell me about it!

X...that's great. Notivates me to get more professional with my videos and editing.

Especially now that I have a camera that shoots HD....but first I have to build a new puter that's wicked fast to handle the task!

A minor error for ya to fix, At 0:32, there's no apostrophe in videos.....

thats definitely one I want to finish too.

I had a camera mounted on the crane ball too I think, for a different view.

plus, i finished the tree with our k-boom and had a camera on the end of that boom too.

a big beech like you guys usually have across the water.

it was 100% dead. lots of cables in it to cut.

tree done in a day, logs hauled away another day.

had to split the butt log in half for homeowner as they had a friend of mine with a band mill, mill it all up. then he had to quarter it still to fit on the mill.

Thanks Reg! (one of the king of video producers)

That was a great set of vids. speed line was great, it was all great. Congrats on the vids and the compilation. A quick question are you located near Waldorf,Md wa down seeing my sis's family and passed at a high rate of speed a tree service and thought it said ArborX ?
Nate

I'm in Maryland, but North of Baltimore by about 40 minutes. Waldorf is Southern MD I think, so probably not us. There is a bunch of Arbor names out there now.

thanks for the comments!

pumping me up,

I think I'll work on editing that big dead American Beech removal, starting tonight now!

my favorite part of that one i just did.... the sound in the very first clip of that first dead beech hitting the ground and crunching and the peice being thrown back. interesting, the other side of the tree did the same thing when i dropped it, throwing back a peice even more so.

I lived in Waldorf for a year, commuter town for DC. Some nice trees in that area. If I were to live in MD again, it'd have to be Annapolis.

Excellent vids Xman

A lot of time went into that. And I know creativity can't be rushed. You did very well David. You're gonna do well with those future videos.

Send your work to TLC. I'd rather be watching you versus No-Sac any day.

Arbor-X video by theXman.

Wow all.

Thanks so much.

That's it, I'm definitely motivated to do more now.

That Beech removal one is going to take some hours, so I started working on a faster one last night that I promised someone I'd get it done anyway.

It's clips from the "demo" k-boom day where i invited others from the buzz to hang out (around the days of TCIA Baltimore expo) and view us working our k-boom, plus Palfinger gave us and me the green light to run their big 150 m/t k-boom to do tree removals with it. So both trucks on the same job.

it was simple pine removals with our 29 metric ton and the 150 metric ton too. I think viewing the big one unfold was pretty neat.

then, we finish the remaing pines using the hobbs LD and chipper winch. staring MattyD as the climber!

anyway, I'm half done that video already! and hope to post in the next few days.
