I know I'd get a ton of calls off of Craig's List, but I don't feel as if I'd get some high caliper people calling. (I could be wrong).

I get a ton of calls from CL if I'm looking for a groundie trainee, but I have not gotten one for an experienced climber. Present yourself as a professional, looking only for a professional, and you won't have to worry...
Take no calls from applicants. Interested parties can email you questions with their resume and/ or letter of introduction...
Have you thought about a qualified removal climber, keeping the arborist (as in study of care of trees) for yourself?

Good tips Sean. I'll create a post on Craig's list and make it very clear to contact me via my e-mail address.
Since I love doing tree removals so much, it would be difficult to pull myself away from them... I've often said, "If I could only do tree removals for the rest of my lift, that's what I'd do." --I don't love killing a tree. I love to create master plans to dismantle a tree with the least amount of steps, improvise adjustments in the plan when necessary, make dialed in cuts to make every thing fall (or float away with the crane) the way I anticipate, make every decision deliberate, feel the adreneline when you may have a 7,000lb load being ever so gently lifted away from you, directing the grounds men when necessary, then cleaning the place up so well, that a stranger to the area wouln't know a tree removal operation happened...
So, giving that up would be tough for me. But, I may have to do give it up. (Or, at least I may not be doing removals as often as I'd like).
