Positioner mod

Here is my positioner, i removed the alum tether and replace it with a twisted shackle. Functions just as well, on a very rare occasion it get kind of twisted up. Any thoughts?

You have placed a twisted shackle on the Positioner in order to orient it in the proper direction, right?
Hubbi has already made the new P. with a rotating eye on the "dog leg" that is attached to the P. making your great adaptation unnecessary.
Hubbi does these changes alot which is great in a way because it advances the technology but also is bad because then we all have stuff that is outdated in a few months. It would be nice if he waited a bit longer and came out with the changes made already. A swivel on the dog leg is something I thought should be on there right away.

I put the shackle on there to eliminate a link. With the dog leg (with or without rotating eye) you still need a connecting link to the d ( biner)
With the shackle it attaches directly to the d eliminating the biner. I didnt like how far down the p hung when on a triple locking biner, now its sits in closer to the d

I use a locking twisted clevis on the dog leg attached to the D ring on my saddle
Your set up is a little cleaner but the locking up factor with the twisted clevis only would really concern me because when it lockes up it creates a higher load on the non bearing parts of the clevis and the P. The P is not meant to have the load bearing on the side plates IMO

i guess im not sure what you mean exactly.
When it is loaded the p takes the load no differently than with the original dogleg. There is no side loading on the p with my set up
