Pit Vipers

Don't the ear sticks keep ear muffs from functioning, or hurt your head when your muffs are down? There's just all kinds of small issues with non-Pfanners...

I haven't had an issue with it, at first I thought it might be with my protos but it's pretty comfortable and my ear muffs work just fine.

Heatwave has a few prescription z87 options

Wileyx also has a bunch of prescription z87 options.
Before I got contacts, I bought these as prescription safety sunglasses:
I broke the arms a couple times and they shipped me new ones for free...even after owning them for over 5 years.
I have too strong of a prescription for most options. The strength of my prescription usually is the deal breaker. I have rated safety glasses with my prescription, and the cutting of lenses with a prescription substantially Increases the cost per pair.

For the maniacs that are willing to go to flavor town...black friday sale is coming up for the heatwaves.

I'm going to spend the thanksgiving holiday debating on what color scheme to get this time.

I've switched to earplugs due to the pressure from muffs. The stiff banded kind that I can hang around my neck when not in use. So much lighter and no more sweaty ears.

I personally hate pit vipers. I immediately have a bias when I roll up on a job site and see the typical pit viper climber. Just a bias and isn't always rite but often it is. Guess you could say that with anything. Just don't like the flashy look at me tree approach. Don't shoot me over this opinion. Its my thing and I'm allowed to be a little mental. I use Oakley Det Cord prescription from SportRx. They are the only Oakley full frame with the Z stamp. I prefer a frame over blade like glasses. I took a large piece of black walnut to the face and ended up with 24 stitches. The log hit the glasses and they absorbed the impact. The frames cut my face but saved my eyeball. If the lens had broken I might be blind in one eye. To me the sturdy frame and ear pieces are key in safety glasses. Just my 2 cents

Suck it, nerds

Jokes aside, nothing gets behind these bug eye looking Pit Viper Rubbers. Side shields, polarized, and I wear them outside of work because I like the hilarity of the look of them. Definitely not for everyone, no arguments on how they look from me. When I'm dealing with customers I take them off because I assume it has to be near impossible to take me serious wearing them. But they cling to my face, keep my eyes clear, and block the sun well. I take care of my sunglasses so they've lasted well enough. The tint on the lense will fade if you don't keep them clean and rub them aggressively

I knew black walnut was expensive, but that's next level...

I hate that I love those.

The Pit Vipers would be great for a Halloween costume. Their retro Windows 3.1 website is cooler than the glasses. I prefer a real glass lens for my day to day sunglasses when not worried about safety & impact protection. The lack of distortion with glass lenses is addictive.
And glass is way harder and basically scratch proof

This is true. My first pair of polarized glass lens sunglasses (B.N.U.S) are still going strong after 18 months. Anything else would have been scratched already. I figure the frames will give out before the lenses.
I wonder how much it'd cost to get them with my prescription. I would rock those for all non work purposes

Sunglasses aren’t allowed on my jobs.

I want to see your eyes to know you’ve heard/seen me before dropping or rigging.
Man, that's intense. I can hardly imagine working without some degree of sun protection on my eyes. I do wish we would adopt some of the EU rules over here, but no shades sounds like a bridge too far. I am eager to get some radios; so tired of shouting everything everyday.

You’d be surprised how much you can communicate just by looking at people eyes.

Now if I could just get the mobile phone situation under control!

Nothing to do with the EU btw, just a little thing I have.
