Pin Oak removal with a 40t crane

Here is a few pictures from a job we did a few days ago. This was a 100+ foot tall Pin Oak with a massive split between the codominant leaders. This was a fun job, and finally got the ok to ride the ball from the crane company we have hired several times in the past. It made the job so much quicker/safer/easier.

Thanks Reg. It took a little over three hours with the crane and about an hour to clean up. The boss let us call it a full day and sent us home..... It was a good day

25' 3/4" Tenex. I hope the boss is going to order a few diffrent sizes in the NEAR FUTURE, maybe a 12' and 16'. It sure would be nice of him.

From a business owner's perspective...That means he made some good money that day.

Yes and No. The city first called Townsend and then us. We arrived later in the day and worked with Townsend, to secure the leader and take as much weight possible off until we could get a crane in a few days later.

how much easier is it when you use the tenex slings? i have used them for that reason and just plain lifting and the job seems to flow easier.
