That was mostly a joke. My plan is to use it in a kids climb rig as a more reliable and consistent friction device than a hitch cord.

What rope are you using? I don't actually have EN1891 ropes. I plan on using an 11.7 double braid...Samson Hyper Climb.
11.7 ropes work well. Hyperclimb is supposed to be good. I have some Yale 11.7 Sumac in mine. Love it.
I wish Yale would do another run of Sumac. I'd buy a reel. My favorite 24-strand.

That should be great. I don't have any problems myself on 11mm sterling workpro, and with her 100# the zigzag would probably hold on paracord. I will say, that the workpro cover is very grippy- dare I say course/rough- even when new. This is why it holds a knot relatively well, despite seeming a bit stiff and cable like. It doesn't bounce too bad on me, but catches a fall practically like a dynamic line.
All that said, I have run several other 11mm in it, and loved them all, and I ran voyager for a while- samsons 11.7/8mm and it was awesome, I just got tired of feeding the tail into the ZZ after a while- but the 11mm always feeds in easy when it's time to get to work. I trust the ZZ with 11mm and put my kid on it. She does some silky smoth descents on it.
I did just get a second ZZ to help remedy this tail feeding problem.
I have a bunch of different systems; numerous Rope Wrenches, RRP, HH2, and while its not the top in absolute responsiveness, no system I've used has matched the ZZ in terms of consistency and ease of use. I have a few in active use and some in reserves, not even sure but I might have 6 of them now?? Still, I feel a little bit of shame about it, as it's never been the 'cool kids' climbing system.
