Petzl Navaho saddle ????

Well I just ordered one of these babies.....
WesSpur Petzl saddle
.....so while I would have preferred to go with a bridge type saddle, this is what I am getting for now. Compared to what I learned, and worked for years in, Weaver nylon strapping jobbie, this saddle should be the cats , comparatively that is.
In the future I will probably go with a Tree Flex, but rining in a hair over 500.00 CAD, economics of the moment, picked the cheaper Petzl saddle.
Anyhow heres the saddle I have ordered, yes I know I perhaps should have asked FIRST, but I was all excited to get the4 gear on its way, and my bro used one for a day, a while back and said it was super comfy and light as hell !
Anyone got any thing I should be aware of concerning attachment points and the like.
Thanks all, stay safe.
-G.

I've never been a big fan of non sliding d bridge saddles because I've always felt like they limit your movements. Part of why I became a climber was because I've always been super athletic and a fixed d ring style saddles always seemed to hold me back.

With that being said. I've never climbed in your saddle. I have heard a lot of good and a lot of bad about it, but mostly good. It is definetely more comfortable then your old saddle so I'm sure you will enjoy it. As for the treeflex saddle, I wish you would have looked in the treebay thread because I'm actually selling one for a little more then you paid for your Navaho (that is if rich h isn't satisfied with it, then it's spoken for)

We have one and its so-so. It is the easiest saddle to put on and take off that I have ever tried.... not that thats a big plus. It is pretty comfy but if I hang in it, the attachment point almost hits me in the chin. I have found that you have to keep the leg loops super tight to get the best fit. Like mentioned above, the fixed tie in is quite limiting. I truly think this is a good saddle for the money. Compared to the other $200ish saddles out there, I would say the New Tribes are more comfy but the Petzl is decent.

If all you know and remember is the old Weavers, you will be more than pleased. Have fun with your new gear... you sound very excited.

i bought one last july, its a good harness, but there is a few things i'm not fond of,if your gonna climb with a heavier saw,you need to buy the top croll add on suspenders.I've aslo found that with enough movement the leg loops adjustment can loosen up a bit.Overall though for someone who spends alot of time in spurs like myself its a good harness.
