Pentra-Bark & Sycamore

Evidently this ISN'T the place to get any help or input. For the record, just because I am listed as having a climber kid - doesn't mean that I'm not in the tree business too. But from what I see, this area isn't overly exercised.

I have not used this particular product. In our area, the mid-atlantic, anthracnose is fairly common. On larger trees, we tend not to do anything. The tree can handle it. There will be the initial leaf drop but by mid summer the trees look fine. I have found trying to control anthracnose very challenging.

Pentrabark is not a fungicide. (unless I missed something, maybe I'll read the label tomorrow)
I have not treated a tree for anthracnose with a bark spray, Arbotect is labeled for Sycamore anthracnose as a macro infusion.

The most use of pentrabark for me is with Agriphos (fungicide) to treat bleeding canker(Phytophthora spp)

Agri-fos maybe the fungicide that needs to go with it, will have to check for sure on that one. Mostly hoping to get some feedback as far as effectiveness of the Pentra-bark style of application for this from someone besides the manufacturer. - You can count on them saying that it will work great!

Anthracnose is not on the Agri-fos label. We have had good success macro-infusing Arbortect 20S for Sycamore Anthracnose. If the tree is suurrounded by lawn runoff from an application of pentra-bark it will kill the grass.

Agri-fos does work well with Pentra-bark. Yes the pentra-bark can kill the grass under a tree. However, all that needs to be done is to spray it off w/water..no big deal.
