Pantin modifications

The Pantin that I have is from the first generation. I think there has been a few minor changes to the current ones.

The stirrup part that goes under the foot would slip out. I rooted in my buckle bag and found a metal slider lock that adds just enough friction.

The buckle setup that came with the Pantin wasn't very glove-friendly. Trying to get it on during a Minnesota winter was in it for me. This buckle makes life a lot easier.

I cut the webbing at an angle and melted the edge into a knife-edge. This makes slipping the webbing into the buckle really smooth.

Iv'e been using this setup for probaby four years, maybe more.

I think it came off a leather strap for bundling paperwork. My scrap bins have all kinds of good stuff. My mind has a reasonably good inventory :) Things will sit around for years and then OOOOO, I know what I can use :)
