out on a limb nothing special

Moonlight climbing! We used to go on moonlight runs on the Locust Fork of the Warrior back in AlaDamBama.

The only night tree climbing I've done was against my will trying to finish a cabling job with a pathetically dull, el-cheapo hacksaw... it was after 10:00P when I got down and I was pissed!

Might be more fun doing a rec climb by moonlight, I think I'll try it in the backyard tree.

Good luck with the branch dancing and swinging... it's some of the funnest fun you can have climbing trees.

Nice one JG,

Are you using a small prussik loop? Dats what it looks like 2 me.....if so, its a good idea to offset the knotted area where the double fishermans knot is so that it don't get caught in your biner then suddenly slip giving you a nasty wee jolt when climbing out on a limb.

When you set the prussik on your lifeline instead of holding the double fishermans in your hand then putting it through, move the knot round so it is asymmetrical, so when it is finally set there is no chance of the double Fm sitting directly in your biner.

JG, disregard that last post, I just took another look, looks like your using Fly for a Blakes? and the wee prussik is just a slack tender right? the same thing would still apply to the slack tender prussik! Can't really get a clear view of your system!
