OK, Someone finally got mad (tomthetreeman, not to point fingers).
Lets review: Nevic is killed (6 years ago) Tom (Dunlap) is involved in high end overseas sandal production and there is money in it for everyone. Jose Mercado, James Kilpatrick (one "L") and Jesse Huffman are all implicated in a oversea murder by their friends and peers in a mad rush to get the sandals Tom was working on.... Mystery, intrigue, murder and lots of cash at stake! Tricks and treats for all! happy early Halloween! All good things must come to an end.... sorry about your dog tom (ttm)..........................
 
I don't even care. It's either a really good inside joke, a total mockery of humor and cultural differences, or both. It might actually be interesting if dude didn't use the ease of the internet to make fun of an entire culture. I think it's just a buzzer/computer geek that made the mistake of goofing on the Vietnamese as part of his/her elaborate joke. Just tell us when we are supposed to laugh.

It's taken we a while to pay attention to this thread. There are times when I don't have enough time to follow every thread on TB...or the inclination.

This is a real mystery. I know of other Tom Dunlap's in the US. One is a realtor in Sun Valley, AZ. Another is a computer geek writer. Another is a sports columnist in California. A coach named Tom Dunlap pops up too. Now...sandal intrigue????

Funny story about the Sun City TD. A couple of years ago I was in Wales visiting Paolo. Friends of his wife came along for dinner one evening. We didn't exchange last names for a while but somehow mine came up. They said that they new a TD in AZ. When I asked if he was a realtor in Sun City their mouths dropped open! Everyone wanted to know how I knew him. HAHA...Google vanity search :) Pretty interesting coincidence that they knew two of the TD's. Maybe they've been to Viet Nam too...????

I am all about pranks and messing with people, I just like to see people's feelings get hurt publicly. This "prank" has none of that.

sheesh! Every one is a priest. This whole thing was started as a Halloween joke and if no one had gotten their feelings hurt there would be some well staged Halloween gore for today with some familiar caricatures. This was never a joke at Vietnam or the Vietnamese people, material has to come from some where. I took all those pictures myself (except the poor dog). The joke was on y'all, those who participated and I made myself the butt of it from the beginning. The dog avatar was supposed to be the final clue that it was just a joke, Don's Halloween mask as it were. When y'all get out of church tomorrow I hope you'll find it in your hearts to forgive me. Let it lye. It's true what they say: "it's all fun and games until some one gets hurt" and this gun was never even pointed at any one in particular, just a voluntary Russian roulette. Every one have fun tonight. I'm out for good this time!
