I never got into the Stihl market because you had to go to the dealer. Now Husqvarna is forcing my hand at this. Question is: are the climbing saws that Stihl are making computer controlled yet?
Lots of questions thrown around in this thread. Yes, stihl has the 201tc out, the catch is if your dealer has sold out of the 201t, they are supposed to clear those out before selling any tc's. They have been out for other contries for a while and they started release in June in the US. Initial impressions are good, since they took good a saw that has been figured out and just added mtronic.

Husky can't make a top handle saw to save their life. It's crazy, but it is the truth. The 192/193 is insanely reliable for the price and the 201t is rock solid. Snellerize it and it is better than the 200t.

My company has husky 562's, we've burned up 2 since 2013, one on a cracked crank case and the second on stripped out bolt holes. The bolts really like to work themselves loose and then strip when force is applied. I am not sold on their durability. Their performance is good and their weight is ok. The biggest issue I have with them is how soft the anti vibe is, most of our 562's have marks on the air cover plastic becuase it is extremely easy for the handle to be pressed into it. It's soft anti vibe, no deal breaker in my opinion. If you wrench on a saw that hard to make it cut then the chain needs to be sharpened and the rakers dropped. Side note, I have been experimenting with the chain on a 562 and it runs great with rakers at .035 in ash.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE I HAVE HAD WITH THE 562 IS THE AIR FILTER!! Even on new saws with one to three months rum time, there will be fines coating the intake manifold right before the carb. That is beyond unacceptable. stihl has a much better filtration system with the HD2 filters on everything 50cc and up.

I can't say anything about the husq 500 series, but I bought myself a chainsaw husq 440e, an awesome thing that worked all weekend and is a pleasure. I bought it because of the breakdown of the Taren saw (it wasn't even enough to cut half a car of firewood), the repair of which cost almost the cost of a new one. Friends advised me not to waste money and to buy a higher-quality saw, I had to splurge, but the results of the work, I can say that I absolutely don't regret it! Now the lesson is better to save up a little and buy a quality product than cheap consumer goods, for the repair then have to spend more money. But I know that if you want to buy a computer-controlled saw, you will have to do some raid configurations as well.
