Onyx bridge D’s

Well that's mighty generous of you.. I'll deff take them off your hands when the time is right... However, what i was eyeballing, was, the green pinto in the background. I should have mentioned that in my reply, don't know why i didn't..

I could trade you for it too if you don't want my money...I wouldn't feel right not giving something up, whether it be $$ or a product.. I got a brand new blue one with a veritas loop spliced on it as well as a brand new Red one with a Tenex loop.. I have a bad habit of loading my carts to the gills when i buy from gustsharts or honey brothers as certain products are a fraction of what they sell for here in US.

Again.. no pressure bud.. I'm cool with whatever u want to do. Just figured, since it's a spare, id ask..

Now i need a Blue pinto rig...

Dan! Your an animal!!! Lol..
Tell me.. why did you dislike the Rock-Plates at first?

Also, that Platinum seems like a good choice of Cordage for bridges.. that or something like Beals Unicore designs..
Although 16 strand is durable, i wonder why it, or other DB's are perfered over constructions like this Plaitnum.. Especially when individuals want to use cammed rope grabs for adjustability. I would think the inter woven design of Plaitnum would be the go to.

My feelings on the SMC plates are the shape of the plate put the leg loops of the onyx in a better more comfortable orientation- the down fall when clipping my buck strap into the SMC plates I’d go over the top of my bridge which in some cases depending on the device or devices I had attached to my bridge this would be fumbley. I’ve quickly gotten used to the small orientation change the RE plates cause. I find having the big hole up front on the plates allows better lanyard/buck strap attachment-This of course is an option when running two rope bridges through the same hole on top.

I hope this all makes sense!? (In the picture with the SMC plate the red line is where I usually have a second rope bridge)

Thanks to @swingdude I swapped out the plates for the TM plates. It kinda seems like it pitches me forward a bit. There’s only one place to put the rope bridge so I’m going to look into other plates.

I have to change out to another harness soon so I’m going to experiment on this one.

#jeffbezoschallenge.

I bought a new onyx and like the RE plates. A bunch of updates since I bought mine 4.5 years ago. Got the extra leg pads and am gonna break it in this weekend.

I think you'll like the leg pads. They definatley add some bulk over just having padding there to begin with, but they ain't too bad. Mine don't exactly follow the contour of the MB leg loop, but whateve that's only aesthetic & hasnt been problematic.

Do they follow the contour of the Onyx?

Just a random question here, but do any of these harness manufacturers use like a thick memory foam type padding? I'd think that would be a win as far as having a saddle fit you spot on, especially around your hips. You'd think it could reduce pressure points better than tradition padding.
