Omme 90’ arborist track lift!

talking to tree companys across the country about grapples, loaders and Tree biz

the Buzz I hear about lifts from very succesful Business owners is the Omme is the s#@it

Its the one I was going to by for Top Notch Tree, way back when I had a Tree company.

you generally pay sales tax in your state, and is buyers responsibility to report it, if the dealer is out state

The OMME is a nice machine for tree work. Some things I’ve learned that you might want to know...

I like to transport the lift with the tracks in a wider position (but not all the way wide); nose into most of ur work (rather than back in); carry mats with u on trailer; use your “turtle” position in tight areas; always top off diesel before using; check tail swing when rotating over leg that’s really jacked up because it can hit (same with the front of the lower boom).

Another thing, if you know your going to reach far over in one direction, level the machine out but not perfectly level make the machine a little higher in the direction you are reaching over to.

Be very careful with everything, there’s a ton to watch out for.
Bixle. How are you loading/transporting the omme?

Are your tie downs pulling in opposite directions? Ie > < or < >..if the both pull the same way... < < or > > they will move whatever is strapped, making it seem like they loosened up.

Robert, I think it’s the same trailer as you have... I haven’t ran into that problem with the straps loosening up. You might be able to run a sling through the cylinder at the back of the lower boom down to the trailer to make it more secure.

Everyone talks about these lifts that mount on the back of a truck... but that set up you got there bixler looks sweeeeeet! If the thing can be run while it’s on the truck why not while it’s on the trailer. Unloading is easy and quick with ramps if the trailer can’t get there. And you can bring it on a multi purpose truck!!! Sweet set up!

I run my lift off the trailer quite a bit, we can just pull up to a tree or back up to it, saves unloading time etc. I’ve got a beaver tail type trailer, it tilts 3/4 of it to unload it which is nice too.

Our 2750 was about 185k delivered to GA with tilt trailer. Really love the machine, very simple for how complicated lifts can be. It is a little wobbly at 90’ but not bad at all. Downside of any aerial platform, the boom gets in the way, and you have to worry about not hitting a very expensive machine holding you up 90’. Also at 11,400lbs it will tear yards up without plywood. But on the other side, with the lift you don’t have to depend on 1 person showing up, to be able to go to work. It definitely has its pros and cons. We have only had it for a little over a month, and only climbed one tree. After this year we will know for sure if we made the right decision. I was told from a new owner that the cmc 83 footer that is proving popular has a $12,000 computer. And numerous sources are complaining of of slow replacement part availability.

Hi There Merle, by no means does the CMC 83HD+ Arbor Pro have a $12,000 computer on board. The CMC 83 HD+ Arbor Pro is designed with simplicity in mind, and has been simplified over the last 4 years of production. Whoever started the idea that there's a $12,000 computer on any of these lifts is just crazy. I don't think $12,000 computers even exist, so why would a basic aerial lift need one? The CMC 83HD+ Arbor Pro has a simple hydraulic controller, just like any of these other aerial lifts on the market, including bucket trucks. I will say, that back in 2014, 2015, and the first part of 2016 we had some problems with some of the lifts that were produced; however, we have found out what all of those problems were and #1 found ways to fix the problems on the old machines, and #2 any time there is a problem on an old machine we find, we immediately fix it on new ones so that the problem does not exist on a newly built machine. Since early 2016 we have had less and less problems.

Regarding parts, we also stock every part on the machine. Again, in the past, we had some problems with parts availability, but today we have everything on the shelf ready to ship overnight if needed.
