Old school

2nd tree in the picture was the one I was working on. I also found it was really close to the transformer. I was maybe 4 feet from it a few time. we waited 2 months for electric utility to clear the transformer and they cut one branch..
You need to be on site when they trim. A lot of lineman seem to be lazy...
I've had to call them back after they claimed it was clear, found a branch burned all through the middle that was contacting.
The supervisor came out and agreed they did a shit job the first time.
Due diligence is our job. 10 feet is 10 feet. Not 4 feet or 2 feet.

Hey that's fair enough I don't mean to say they all are lazy. Good guys for the most part.
It's just important to communicate exactly what kind of clearance you need. (ie 10 feet from primaries) unless you are a
utility arb.

If everything works out in the next 6 to 8 months I might be the S

If everything works out in the next 6 to 8 months I might be the Supervisor and I will have them do it again until they get it right for my climbers. The Supervisor I have right now is asshole an wouldnt help me have them come back. If there is a next time I hope I will be in charge so I can get them to come back. Thank you for your reply.

I was really surprised at the poor quality work of the outfit that trims for Duke here. I did some srt work in a yard where they had spiked all the gentleman's trees that were close to the right of way, left long stubs on every cut and left all the wood in his yard. I'm not sure who the outfit is now, they change contractors pretty often but doggies, it looks like they'd have a little better training, quality control, manners or whatever. Of the last bunch I dealt with, only one man on the crew spoke any English and it was only a few words.
