Another just for fun survey. There may be some among us who have never screwed up on a job. I'm not one of them!
Take this survey. Purge your soul!

Not all the answers will ffit for you. Pick the closest one or just lie about it. Who's gonna know!

How about taking out mail boxes with the truck.. breaking sidewalks with truck or tree.. dropping limb or gear on a groundie.. losing a tree to the lay.. running over chinasaw or other valubale equipment.. dumping gas or oil all over your leg for not securing the caps.. losing a piece getting lowered for tying a bad knot.. having top or big limb land in your lap... taking a significant slip.. barber chairing a tree.. break out your lowering point.. break a rope (either pull or lowering line)... chipping a saddle. cutting a rope with chainsaw.. hit a bridge with a truck... taken out service lines to a house.. taken out or at least shorted street lines...

That's a long list huh?

ps.. I hadn't dropped a saw in 25 years, til last year I dropped a brand new ms 200t from the bucket at full extension.. it landed tip down, like the sword in the stone, with the bar half burried.. Only damage was a slight tweek to the bar, which you can still see if you look closely..

Got myself in knee today with the silky. Scared me at first, I was alone. But it is nothing. I was dead wood pruning a Thuja plicata. Wrapped it with my bandana which only proved necessary when I got down as the customer pulled in as I was cleaning up. I save jobs like these for days like this one. Man it was nice here today.

By the way Daniel, all this stuff does not happen to the safe tree worker, no matter how long they have been at it.

you have confirmed with this list what a reckless person you are.

Retire from tree work before you die.

Put a lanyard on your saws used above. I don't care if it has been 20 years, what if it landed on a groundman? Is 30 years of carrying a saw, then once dropping it and killing a groundman a good record?

You once again confirmed what you are.

Ran over my new kask with the mini skid then backed up to get it out and ran over another hard hat. we were wraking up the yard there were no hazzards around and it was over 100 that's why we had our helmets off.

I couldn't disagree more. I don't agree with the way Daniel does a lot of his work and have given him crap for it in other threads. However, I have to give the man some cred for stepping up and admitting that he makes mistakes. Mr. X hasn't done that. He has the same kind of bravado that he comes down on Daniel for.

So how about it X, nobody here is perfect, what have you done?
