What X said

[/ QUOTE ]

I couldn't disagree more. I don't agree with the way Daniel does a lot of his work and have given him crap for it in other threads. However, I have to give the man some cred for stepping up and admitting that he makes mistakes. Mr. X hasn't done that. He has the same kind of bravado that he comes down on Daniel for.

So how about it X, nobody here is perfect, what have you done?

Way to go Banjo. Good question, for real.

In 17 years of my own business, I'm going to search my mind right now for the worst things I have been a part of.

crane has cracked thin poored concrete.

I get a bit moody at the crew when they are dumb, or I think they are dumb.

I busted a lamp once, totally my fault.

broke a picket on a fence once with really frozen ground, small log skipped along the frozen ground.

bounced myself really bad on a tall thin fir by taking too big of a top into the rigging. Trying to get a really big Christmas tree for my yard that year.

smacked myself in the head as an early climber by not looking at the location of the lowering point.

broke my neck when a vine pulled a dead limb out of a tree behind the one i was felling.

oh yeah, and the worst, banged banjo's.... EDITED....

Did you actually break your neck or just badly hurt yourself?

I once had a rotted off tree fall on me when I fell the one holding it up, I had no idea it was even dead it looked straight as if it was growing there.

sorry Classic for the delay, extremely busy.

yes, broke. At lease I think cracked bone = broken.

Cracked C1 in two spots. But after laying on the ground for a few minutes and having co-workers check me.... I figured it was a "pinched" nerve in neck. So worked some more to finish the day. Went to Chiropractor that evening. He took X-rays and saw nothing, attempted to adjust me every day for a week or so, then sent me for a bone scan saying something has to be broken.

It turned out to be two weeks before doctors found the breaks with a bone scan, then a CAT scan.

by that time it was mostly healed they said, so then wore a soft collar.

they said they would have put me in a rigid colar if they had seen the cracks.

Left tools hanging in a tree?

[/ QUOTE ]'Found' my misplaced FS three years later climbing the same tree once again.

Drove by a colleague, stopped for a chat, Mark (not Mark as in 'the Treebuzz Mark') walks over putting his saw on the ground, chat is over after ten minutes, I drive away and hear a loud CRACK.

Bashed my chipper with a top. It was either the customers glass house or the free spot next to the chipper. Lets say I was aiming just too much for the free spot away from the glass house.
