I wish that I ran a business that could afford to loose a customer over $12!
Let me explain...In January I took in empty printer cartridges to Office Depot for credit. I told the guy at the counter that I was going to buy a label maker. He told me that I would get a credit within 30 days. I said that I could wait and he said 'See you then!'
Now I find out that in order to get the 'credit' I have to spend more than the 'credit' and THEN wait 60 days to get my CREDIT!
After talking to Office Depot customer service and a supervisor I was told that they couldn't do anything for me. A really lame 'Sorry...' was all I got. Even after asking the supervisor if it was worth loosing a customer for $12. 'Sorry...' was his repeated reply.
Normally, I'd understand, rules are rules. But, after waiting this long and then being told that I would have to make a full price purchase now and wait ANOTHER sixty days I'm not satisfied.
there are plenty of other office supply stores who want business...I'll find them.
When I ran my company I would sure not tolerate loosing a customer over some misunderstanding like this. Even in the years when there was more work than I could keep up with. If an employee made a mistake I would suck up and make it right..what would you do?
