That is not all that uncommon. They use them to pick up the wire baskets of firewood. One is sitting alongside the truck. Is that a forklift on the front of that last truck?
Yes it is. I've seen that truck on the road a few years back but I only got blurry pics of it. Today I stumbled across it's shop and thought I'd get a better pic.Is that a forklift on the front of that last truck?
In my area's defense, these are the worst I've seen over the years and most of them I've only seen once. I'm guessing they didn't last long. This brings up so many mixed feelings. And reminds me how much of a bubble I live in. Amazing.
You can pick up some really fat kids with that rig.Not mine...but it would have fit in
That is awesome Gordon! Here is a vehicle I made called a Jitney. It had an 18 HP Onan engine that drove hydraulic wheel motors. The cab pivoted at the top, so any direction you pointed it, that is the direction it would go. View attachment 91208
That’s dope. Thanks, I had made a 12 inch model first that my kids played with. The Jitney had a spool valve controlling either front wheel, forward or reverse (I would have liked to make it 4 wheel drive and electric but that was too expensive). The trailer bed could pivot so that it would articulate over rough ground, but the design flaw was that when one wheel lost traction it would just turn the cab. What it needed was a gear at the top perimeter of the cab roof that was dedicated to steering the cab, that way the front drive wheels would essentially be limited slip.
