NY bans Fertilizer

I have never been to the USA but it certainly seems that watershed management is taken very very seriously, we would benefit from some of that over here.

not really all that seriously, the amount of crap emptied out on to lawns across the country is astounding, this is the a big step for New York and the first time that I had even heard it talked about. Tru-green chem lawn has a lot of power in this country.

OK 1. Cayuga Lake has been going down the crapper for about as long as I have been alive. I live 2 mins away from it. The phosphorus is from the all the farms and vineyards surrounding the lake. The 6 months of salt slinging we do to travel in the winter months which every storm drains into the lake from the surrounding area. The Zebra muscles that have eaten 1/2 the zoo plankton that in turn have killed off the fish in much of the south end of the lake. Funny I travel hours away from a lake to go fishing with the kids actually sad. When I was a kid my grandpa and I would head down and go salmon and trout fishing now well just sad.
