NJ jobss

Well fortunatley I didnt take tree drs advice and leave arborculture as a career, I just left Tamke. I now work a wcompany that has equally nice equipment and the people are great. some of his climbers have been there long term as well. the philosphy is a bit differnt here. We mentor our new employess and give them the resources they need to excell and the ones who cant handle tree work usually find the door themselves. I Believe tamke used to to that.

I appreciate your criticism in a way where we can make changes. That's how any company will grow. Through input from ALL sources.

I just wished you would have handled it a little bit better.

For example.... you keep yourself anonymous which is fine.

Lets call you "Joe Smith" and you worked for me for awhile. I fired you because you suck and posted on various boards that any company out there should NOT hire Joe Smith....for whatever reason.

Do you see the relation?

Good luck with your latest ventures.

Yes I can see the relation however, i feel that your being alittle too extreme in the analogy. You advertized as being the one of the top companies to work for in NJ and i did not dispute that Tamke is a top company. I just offered other side of the coin. Had I advertized that Joe Smith is a top climber and availabe for work and you had a bad experience dealing with me and posted such, Yes, I would be upset but thats the downside to advertizing on a public forum. Hollywood actors get bad reviews all the time for certain projeccts but they seem to manage ok allthough its an inconvience its part of being in the public eye.

In closing I made several attempts to make tamke work but i was told more than once thats the way it is now it used to be better. So afer dealing with that mentality I chose to leave.

From Tom Dunlap this thread. http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/showflat.p...=true#Post66967

I must admit I find it disgusting to read this garbage and am somewhat bewildered as to why the entire thread was not deleted. Disgruntled employees seldom have much good to say.

Yet I assure you that if a company or representative there of were to write a horde of opinion on a worker in the public eye there would be legal suits left right and centre.

I urge you all to petition this thread for deletion, it reflects poorly on both contributors and site moderation. I have noticed the imbalance and often paced the room wondering why the garbage isn't swiftly wiped. This is the greatest tree forum on the planet. Yes there are others but have you been there? If so then you know.

To all employers I would urge a confidentiality agreement be signed prior to the first day of work, punitive damages could be claimed for outrageous claims and defamation. This board regardless of owners may think is a form of media, I would also suggest a media ban on that agreement.

If you have a legitimate beef with your employer then there are appropriate avenues for persuing and rectifying them. If you dont gel with certain people or fit in then make an extra effort or move on, these are just people doing their thing and you cant do much to change people you can only change yourself. I have a myriad of persona to work with daily, some I dont even like but they do the job and get it done, that's why I hire them, I may not value getting drunk and leaving hard earnt rubber on the roadway but I'm not reposnsible for changing that. I just ask that it not be done with our vehicles or in our presence.

Again from a great mentor.
