I'm still not buyin' this is real. Just think about it. They say there are two cables, one up and one down. They start on a high mountain top, and from the video they do quite a drop, and it even says it's a 2 hour walk (IIRC) down.

So they ride down and go to school. Now they get on the return cable and go home. Well, if the 'to school' cable is on a high mountain top, where does the 'return home' cable start and how do they get to it?

The return cable has to start higher than the mountain top they live on, so how do they get up there and how high must it be?

I wondered that too..but I guess that counterweights could be used. If so, it would make for a challenging balancing act. Pretty soon there would be a pile of rubble at the bottom and the upper mountain would turn into a plateau.

i think the to school line is hi up to start with and the back home line starts a lot lower down the other side just enuff to get them over but a long walk bacj up the other side? that can work? matt
