Yep, it was totally fun reading all the rips on the halftime show on FB and Twitter.
Steve Martin had the best one...
"I learned so much about love during the halftime show. And then at the end when it said, "The beginning," I thought, "Wow." Just. Wow."
I'd heard of the Black Eyed Peas but i had no idea they were THAT bad.Iteresting how they worked Slash into that auditory melee, i love that guitar passage.
Visually it was kinda cool with the LED suits and the camera overexposure, nice effect but is arrows all they could think of in terms of design? Seems like nothing more than an afterthought.
I think the House/Mean Joe Green bit (you young guys won't get it) won the commercial competition with the Snickers and Audi ones close behind. Most of those commercials were creatively bereft, definitely not worth the airtime. If we're supposed to be depending on creativity for the 'new economy' we're totally screwed. Somebody should napalm Madison Avenue so we can start over.
Oh, and it's cool the Packers won it convincingly even after losing two primary defensive players. Rothels-whatever has an amazing passing arm but other than that, not much.
It was a good game.
