Not much to say about this one. If we get a shut down then fine, if not then not so fine. The tree is not over the wires but the crown is in line with them starting about 20 feet above. These are 11,000 volts so supply a large area. The owners have stated that the work must be done before 29th April. No way we'll get a shut down before then so they can go swivel.

Sorry, I don't follow? Do you mean cover the wires? If so I don't know if thats possible on these wires but I recently found out that they won't do it any more on low voltage lines for tree work so I doubt they would do it on these. We'll be speaking to the supply company soon.

Actually it's to protect you from the live wires and saves the line from going phase to phase.
The linemen use it when working around energized conductors, that's the least they can do for you.
It just slips over the conductor, not much work for them.

Oh I see, Thanks. We will meet with the supply company engineer and see what happens from there. I'm not too bothered about this one. My anger has subsided after being called to look at a job that must be done by the end of the month only to get there and see those wires. I'm sure the supply company will say no way until the power is off and that will take weeks/months.
