New User/New Chipper

Just got my sign-in approved and I am getting my own first chipper. Chipper is a Bandit 250xp. I have been using rentals for quite some time. Found a dealer out of florida (Skyco Equiptment) That sells and deliver's free nation wide. Anyway does anyone have feedback on these chippers, it is a 2000 w 1250hrs. Looks Great. Supposed to be here next Tues. Cant wait!

They had a whole mess of problems with that model, at 1500 hrs the disc flys apart. Good luck with it.

LOL, just kidding!

have fun with it!

I have a 250 Bandit and it is a trusty machine. If your doing a fair bit of highway traveling make sure to rotate the tires frequently.

One other issue we have had is travel on gravel roads. Small stones can get into the belt sheild and driven pulley, causing belt failures. Once we realized this issue, we simply open the disc cover and rotate the disc by hand and dislodge the offending little buggers. Problem solved!

AND Jim is still jealous!!!!

We have a newer 250, a 2004 model. Works good had to replace both roller stators twice and just replaced the bottom one last month. Other than that, good machine. Had a 250 before current one also. Lots of them in my area.

250 you're going to love it, run a lot of chippers in the last 15 years and the 250 is one of my favorites. The only problem I had was when one of my guys chipped a steel pin through it. Machine ate it and kept going though.
