You and I have had BMG vs clam discussions before.<br />

Not paid here, daily residential tree owner/operator. I used to cinch limbs like you say above, though I used pallet forks. The BMG is a lot faster and easier. Branch butts don't have to be perfectly aligned, and only have to be close when feeding into a chipper. <br />
<br />
When rigging the brush gets lowered into appropriate sized piles, and orientated properly (no different than if dragging by hand...just larger)<br />
<br />
BMG is just so much more versatile then other grapples out there. Multiple videos of our mini, with a BMG, at work on our YouTube pages.
