new rope wrench tether

I haven't thought about selling them, but I would be happy to send some around for folks to try out.

This one is 10" in length. Is that what seems to work for most? I remember countryboypa was using a longer one...

I still like 12" or longer. The shorter the RW tether, the shorter your hitch has to be. The biggest concern is that the hitch is to long and if the RW is pressed down it can release your hitch. Your RW should be able to be completely disengaged and your hitch still able to grab securely.

That's funny! I was thinking about using a coffee stirring stick at one point, but knew it would break once I got into a tree. This thing is working slick.

Nice.

Much cleaner than my zk1 with a stick taped to the tech cord tether with athletic tape.haha, but true.

Funny! I was thinking of two pieces of bamboo ripped from a big diameter/thick walled piece of bamboo I have. May still do it.

Bamboo... nature's closest thing to carbon fiber except easier to work with.

Cary, something to be mindful of is that extra blue-bandit you put in is between the side plates of the RW. There is a potential for this to wedge in between the side plates and actually keep it from engaging. I would recommend that it is beefed up so that it can't fit in between the side plates instead rests right underneath them.

This is a greater concern with the zk-1 where the side plates are further apart. You don't want it to become wedged in between the side plates and cause it be become stuck in the neutral position.

Hope thats clear.
