New Member saying hi

Just a little update to this thread, has nothing to do w/ climbing tho.
1/5th rule= pretty sweet
They weren't the best trees to practice 1/5th rule (power lines 5' from tree, house, fence, small drop zone 12'L x 6'W ish) but snap cutting was getting old.
50' spar was left, first piece was cut at about 40' foot up and piece was about 10' long with nice clean 45* traditional face cut. Perfect 270* flip landed flat. Next piece about 8' long, 270* flip landed almost perfectly flat too. Next piece about 6' long landed damn near flat too. Still need some practice before using the 1/5th on tall pines or real small drop zones. But so far I'd much rather take the time to make perfect face cuts/back cuts then cut and throw. Easier on my body and it's faster dropping bigger pieces rather then cutting and throwing 2-4"ers.
Thanks guys
