New Lowering device!

Reg, I just re-read this entire thread and am very pleased to see your ideas, and all your time and work come to light with these new LDs. You have worked very hard on this and I look forward to hearing of vendors placing orders with you and Stein. Please stop by the Baileys Booth and talk with Rion and Jeff also.

I know you will be very busy at TCI, but if you have a few minutes to spare I would like to thank you personally for your outstanding contributions to our trade.

Yep. I could have used your device the other day. I had to tie off the tip and the butt end of a large leader. I used the GRCS & Porty combo, but I'm gonna have to support a fellow arbo and get one of your devices!

Awesome innovation. Keep it up!

Just food for thought,,,

Why not have one racheting bollard and one fixed? That way you could pretension theline through the fixed drum with the capstan winch/ rachet. I have on several removals actually run the rigging line through the GRCS fixed drum to another tree where I had the racheting GRCS setup through a redirect block.

Stay tied in and rig big and hard!

yes, but as Reg said in the beginning, he wasn't looking to make the ultimate lowering device. he was asked to make something that was very affordable.

I myself have plans for an ultimate lowering device, only problem is, it will likely cost $6000-$7000.
