Looks great in use on your vids. I look fwd to talking some of the co's I work for to buying one. Love the double bollards they will be very useful. A brilliant idea.

Pardon the self promotion guys but if I can just draw your attention the finished production models' (apart for one last minor tweak). Quite a contrast from the photos at the start of the thread, so a good way to end it. Thanks

Excellent Reg, well done, they look like they've been designed and built for treeworkers by a treeworker.

Cheers for all the work you put into them and I'm looking forward to trying them out on some big wood.

Is there a specific use for that ring at the end of the handle?

[/ QUOTE ]

Hopefully to deter people from fixing a longer handle over the end of it.

Does the rope ratchet work on the single?

No, but I also made optional accessory which achieves the same result. I’ll make a video of it when I get a minute.

"Stein"?????? What about "Coates"??????

Cory, I’ve learnt the hard way that its far better being a small part of something big than a big part of something small.

Stein is the company, the LDs are their mission funded by their own money….I’m just the designer.

Attached also is a working image of the hanging model. Thanks again.

Reg,

That must be a heavy piece from the looks of it. Is it one piece of bull rope with a clove hitch on each leader, up to one central point? If so, what it that attachment method, please?

Are those brake tubes only marketed in England/ Europe, or are they in the US, too?

Thanks.

From memory I finished that knot with either a tautline hitch or blakes, can’t tell from the photo.

The L.Ds have only just gone on the main distributors website: http://www.fletcherstewart.co.uk/products.php?cat=162 with various other retailers in Europe to follow. The devices will also be on show at your TCIA expo next month, so I’d hope that at least a couple of your suppliers might be interested enough to become dealers.
