New lanyard management system

Hello! Just sharing about a new piece of gear we've launched called The Keeper. It's a lanyard management system and is available for pre-order now. Check out our website: shopneatfreak.com for more details. Also, find us on FB and IG under Neat Freak for additional pictures and discussion.

If this is inappropriate please delete. We just thought it might be of interest. Thanks for your time!

What is that rope grab on your lanyard?
Good luck with the keeper.

@neatfreak What stops it from bumping off? Going to need a biner/clip to hold fast?
Will it turn into a mess when it does?
I don't like that it stick up above the harness edge, will it poke us in the ribs?
Geckotoes does basically the same thing but will hold 100' of rope plus your lanyard plus an unobtrusive hook to hang your saw and biners all with the ability for fairly easy on and off without assembly and open/midline attachable. much much cheaper at that
Lot of questions to answer before I buy just based on the vids and images.

Looks slick just need help to justify the $132 plus shipping and duties. If you could mash up a Geckotoe and your keeper that would be pretty coool.
I would guess most arbos would have no use for a keeper especially at that price.
@rico is straight shooter get him one and see what he says.
I run a long lanyard and always climb with another lifeline with mechanical, there isn't much room on the side of my harness.
How does it work with wire core, pretty good I imagine.

Best of luck.:birra:

You should really add more info, better videos in action, and pics to your website.
Believe it or not there are people in this world that don't want anything to do with facebook myself included.

I saw a couple of earlier prototypes at the midwest comp this year, and the current model at last weekend's NAOM.
It is a great idea, and I think it could open up longer lanyards for climbers who are very opposed to tangles. The unclipping motion is distinct and probably wouldn't happen on accident very often. If it ever did, a quick motion would have it all orderly again.

You have got to get some videos on that website, and a 360 view of the device.

Thanks for your questions and feedback! Just to clarify which version you're looking at we've attached a picture here of the most current design. On most saddles the handle sits at or below the top of the saddle and has been designed to "soft" lock in to the caritool -- it doesn't generally come off unless you want it to. The "soft" lock feature was incorporated in order to reduce the likelihood of damage to The Keeper should it suffer an impact.

Honestly, we had to look up the "geckotoes" product as we'd never heard of it. It looks to us to be a device meant to hold hose. Which, if that works for you, awesome. But, we were tired of having to buy products not meant for our industry and resorting to "making them work." The Keeper is a specialized device, designed by us (with incorporated feedback from our fellow arborists) and we think you'd notice a big difference in its functionality versus any other lanyard management system.

We understand the need to justify the expense and have plans to release more videos and information about it and how it can help organize any length of lanyard (long, short and double-sided). In addition to videos and information from us, we're sending demo pieces out to select climbers who will review the device and give constructive feedback. This should help others determine if it's right for them. And, we'll be attending trade shows, competitions and other events to give climbers a firsthand look at The Keeper.

We appreciate you taking the time to consider The Keeper and hope you'll stay tuned as we move forward!

Thanks for sharing your experience! We had a great time showing this off at NAOM and got some great feedback. It's nice to be able to let people test it out and get a feel for it. Everyone that's come across it has had something positive to say.

And yes, more videos and information is coming! We like the idea of a 360 view.

Thanks for the suggestions! We are working to beef up the website, for sure. We understand not everyone does the social media thing.
