This place just opened up near me amd I've been every week for the last couple of months. Starting to get colder now but have just got a 5mm winter suit so ok for a bit longer!
Theres a cable running around the lake about 20 feet off the water and you wait at the start point and the cable collects you and off you go. Upto nine people on it at once. Its wakeboarding without the wake, but you can still do jumps and stuff (well some people can).
If you fall in then its a swim to the side and the walk of shame back to the start!
Well yes, I used to have one of those, but then you need a lake or a long drive to the coast. This is 20 minutes from my house, suit on, off you go, no worries. In the summer I drive past it every few days on my way back from work with 3+ hours of sunlight left!
Hi
Thats friggin cool of obvious reasons! Don´t have time for new hobbies ot my old for that sake, started an online study for foundation degree in arboriculture this fall and feel that I´m in way over my head at the moment.
Waterskiing in Norwegian winters is called skating.(
Now that does look cool. Our wakeboard lake will never freeze over that much. I went again last saturday and it was much colder. They had buckets of warm water to stick your feet in between goes! There was a pretty good turn out, about 40 people there but it is only open on saturdays now and they are still planning to be open at christmas.
