Ended up going with the Kask and Peltor peaked visor. Not really what I wanted but an OK compromise. Also didn't realize that the Kasks now come with the earmuff adaptor. They've definitely updated the design from my original Kask. Looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for the input.

I can almost smell it from here.

My Kask is the most comfortable hat i have ever used at work.

You would be able to smell it if it was my original Kask. I bought it before they were available in North America, it is well worn to say the least.

Still looking for a new lid, my petzl vertex sits on my head alright, as it has for the past 3 years.. but it slides forwards sometimes, and if I turn upside down the chin strap is the only thing holding it on. It flops around on my head a bit. Does the Kask have a snug fit? Haven't tried one on yet. Protos was TOO snug, gave me migraines so I hocked it to Deevo.

Kask sits snug. They have the best visor IMO. The hell with glasses unless is dark and dreary....mirrored visor or yellow star lights
