New dynamic cabling system.

That's a no and a no Fred.
The lines are in the tree to catch the branch in case of a breakage. No need to make tight, snug and rubbing installations.
Aberration is zero because it just loosely sits and waits in the tree to do it's one and only job, "catching branch".

I saw one of those just yesterday doing just that. It was loose and it's only purpose was to keep it form hitting the ground or somebody in the head.

I've used them since i'm in treecare work.
If you put in a dynamic cabling system you should also tell the client to check them every 3 years. If your splice has a little bit of extra lenght you can easily adjust it to the tree by pulling down the splice.

It's a perfect system and it will last for at least 15 years according the UV warranty.

I use a sleave as well with this system for thinner barked trees. For the thick barked trees I only use the rope itself.

Once you have used it you won't bother working with steel wire anymore. :-)

the system I'm using also has a force indicator, it's a extra strand that will snap when it's WLL limits have reached the max. You can easily spot this from the ground.

I went through about 400 ft of branch saver over the last year or so. Nothing has failed yet so I couldn't say if it works or not. I know it has saved some tree's from some really large cuts to remove hazardous limbs or tops . That can't be bad .
