New Climbing Line Reccomendation

Makes total sense! Now I am really confused.
In SRWP efficiency is lost on ascent through a bouncy rope, I don't like bouncy rope. Nylon makes a rope bouncy. There are ways to add absorbency to a static system. The best way, imo, is with an all polyester triple braid (poly cover, core, and second core to keep it round).

Your killing me Reed. I like big lines so I may just go to vortex as it would be easier on my hands. Then again it might be time to get out of the Stone Age and try a small line

A petzl basic is what I use to save my hands, only takes a second to put on and makes an excellent 2:1 rig for SRT limbwalker returns or short ascents. At least you know you can't go wrong with any of the three choices and if you climb everyday you'll need a new line in a year anyway ;-)

This is true I climb part time as a contract climber so don't go through them as fast but replace often and move to rigging as I don't feel time does them any favors. Here is what I have now for climb line to see if this helps you help me. Samson Arbormaster and kernmaster Safari. You advise from that stand point any guy with a beard that cool is worth trusting. Further more where in NC do you live I used to live in Goldsboro.

I also climb part time as a contract climber. That said, I have a lot of different ropes of different lengths for different scopes of work... and four different multi-scenders. Rope wrench, rope runner, BDB, and hitch climber based Ddrt. I'm not gonna be elaborate on which ropes work where and with what and just say Cougar...@Magnum783

So versatile without a lot of space consumption.
I run my own arboricultural business. My part time job is as a furniture maker.
Yeah, cougar is expensive relatively but worth it.

I do that to that one all the time pretty easy and makes for an amazing return from a limb walk tool. I take it cougar holds up well to ascenders well as well as works with a multiple different combinations of hitch cords? Have you ever tried it with the HH2

It is my understanding that Cougar was designed my the Aussie and NZ TCM teams as the "ultimate" double braid, ALL things considered. And I agree.

I am studying for my CA exam and this rope learning process has been a great distraction or mini break. Some of this material is a bit dry and hard to stay interested in. Thanks for all your information i really appreciate it.
