New Climbing Line Reccomendation

Not much experience here, but I started with Arbormaster and recently got some Tachyon and I absolutely love the Tachyon. Not that the Arbormaster is bad by no means, but the Tachyon just handles so well for me.

Has anyone had a chance to play with the (relatively) new Sterling Scion? Apparently, it's similar to tendril, but in 11.5...haven't heard about it anywhere but on Sterling's website. That being said...the color schemes are pretty awesome. I liked Tendril, but I'd like something a tad fatter.

The only thing that worries me about it is its CE certified so it probably has a stretchy nylon core...

I don't get it, make one color for one market and one for the other like Yale does. Hopefully, I am wrong and this the best cord to grace the planet...

Yes and all but the blue tongue of the 11.7's are 100% polyester (cover and core). The CE certified blue tongue has a nylon core for an approved amount of elongation.

Reed, could you please enlighten me as to the goods and bad of the Yale ropes. I am in the market and was really thinking about either the saluting beaches tachyon(I spent 8 years in the military I am partial) or one of the Yale 11.7. What is your personal recommendation.

All the Yale 11.7's are the bomb for the rope runner and wrench and Ddrt except for the blue tongue. My faves are Prism, Arrow Frog, and tropical ivy. Cougar by Donaghys is my all time favorite rope overall however.

So what you are saying is Reed and Nylon ropes are not friends. What is there about this rope you don't like.
Good shock absorption, e.g. dynazorb, also very bouncy as a climbing line. Sucks energy from the climber on ascent but absorbs energy during a fall.
