Not much experience here, but I started with Arbormaster and recently got some Tachyon and I absolutely love the Tachyon. Not that the Arbormaster is bad by no means, but the Tachyon just handles so well for me.

TskAll Gear's 24 strand lines are a solid, less expensive option as well.

Well swing I remember you telling about rope hanging in the bedroom what is your preff
Anything Yale 11.7....with polyester cores...calamine, sumac, Luna, arrowfrog, poison ivy, topical ivy, prism....lolWell swing I remember you telling about rope hanging in the bedroom what is your preff
The only thing that worries me about it is its CE certified so it probably has a stretchy nylon core...Has anyone had a chance to play with the (relatively) new Sterling Scion? Apparently, it's similar to tendril, but in 11.5...haven't heard about it anywhere but on Sterling's website. That being said...the color schemes are pretty awesome. I liked Tendril, but I'd like something a tad fatter.

Tendril is non CEWell, it's based on Tendril, so I have reasonable hopes...but you could be right.
Tendril is non CE
Yes and all but the blue tongue of the 11.7's are 100% polyester (cover and core). The CE certified blue tongue has a nylon core for an approved amount of elongation.Yale has a ton of different names for the same rope or at least I thought
Reed, could you please enlighten me as to the goods and bad of the Yale ropes. I am in the market and was really thinking about either the saluting beaches tachyon(I spent 8 years in the military I am partial) or one of the Yale 11.7. What is your personal recommendation.Yes and all but the blue tongue of the 11.7's are 100% polyester (cover and core). The CE certified blue tongue has a nylon core for an approved amount of elongation.

Yes, and I'm waiting for someone to make this rope without nylon. All Gear's lines are close.Have you tried tachyon?
Good shock absorption, e.g. dynazorb, also very bouncy as a climbing line. Sucks energy from the climber on ascent but absorbs energy during a fall.So what you are saying is Reed and Nylon ropes are not friends. What is there about this rope you don't like.
Makes total sense! Now I am really confused.Good shock absorption, e.g. dynazorb, also very bouncy as a climbing line. Sucks energy from the climber on ascent but absorbs energy during a fall.
